GhostTrace provides read-only AWS cost and risk assessments. By using the service you agree to these terms. Our findings are estimates and recommendations, not guarantees — you decide what to act on. We can never modify your cloud. Subscriptions are billed through our payment provider, and you can cancel or revoke our access at any time.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GhostTrace website and application ("GhostTrace", "we", "us"). By creating an account, connecting an AWS account, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using GhostTrace on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
GhostTrace performs read-only assessments of your AWS account by assuming an IAM role you create. It reads configuration and usage metadata to produce cost, waste, and risk findings. The service is provided on an as-available basis and may evolve over time as features are added or changed.
To run an assessment, you grant GhostTrace access via a read-only IAM role with a per-tenant external ID. You are responsible for creating, scoping, and maintaining that role in line with our documentation.
GhostTrace is currently in a free beta with no charge; the billing terms above apply once paid plans are introduced.

GhostTrace and its software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms. The findings and reports we generate for you are yours to use within your organization. You retain all rights to your AWS account and its data.
GhostTrace's cost figures, savings projections, blast-radius, and risk findings are estimates and recommendations derived from read-only metadata. They are not financial, legal, or operational advice, and are not a guarantee of savings or of the safety of any change. You are solely responsible for verifying findings and for any action you take on your AWS account. Always review dependencies before deleting or modifying any resource.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that findings will be complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GhostTrace will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or AWS costs incurred, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold GhostTrace harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, your connected AWS accounts, actions you take based on findings, or your breach of these Terms.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as liability, indemnity, and intellectual property) will survive.
Exporting your data. While your account is active you can download any assessment report as JSON at any time. Assessment reports are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically expire; account records are removed following account deletion, subject to any retention we are legally required to observe. If you need help exporting your data before deletion, contact us and we will assist.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
